We have been counting down to week 18 for months! This is the week that our anatomy scan was scheduled for :) As you may have read, we are having a BOY! :)
This was the first ultrasound we had the entire pregnancy, so I cant even put into words what it felt like when I saw him for that first time. He was so active! Flipping here and there, the tech could barely catch any pictures. LOL Maybe hes practicing for his first 5k :) He finally settled down on his belly, and the tech took all the measurements. She was able to see the gender in the first 5 minutes, and of course we said yes we must know! When she said boy, the smile just grew on both our faces.
It does seem crazy that hes so active and Im still not feeling much. So looking forward to that first kick :)
Baby boy and I had a fun time cheering on my friends in their first half marathon. I cant even put in to words how proud of them I am! And that was not an easy course. Im sure baby could feel the excitement as my friend, Nikki and I, ran to 3 different locations cheering on all the runners! :) Cant wait to take him on his first race!
Great job Amanda, Lisa, and Rich! You are an inspiration to us all!
How far along? 18 weeks
18 weeks - baby is the size of a sweet potato
Total weight gain/loss: 23lbs total, yes that is true. lol
Maternity clothes? Mostly, and they are comfy!
Stretch marks? A few on my hips
Sleep: Sleep is not a problem but still taking a unisom at night which is a sleep aid, so that could be to my benefit. :p
Best moment this week: Finding out the gender! Time to chose a name!
Miss Anything? I really really want an antipasto salad from Louis in Hazel Park.
Movement: Nothing noticeable this week...
Food cravings: Nothing to crazy
Have you started to show yet: For sure, 20+ lbs will do that to ya!
Wedding rings on or off? Getting pretty tight
Symptoms: Still vomiting, and a little nausea, oh and constipation and hemorrhoids. Yes that is not the cheerful stuff they warn you about! Ha!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Next week I will be entertaining the baby with a few concerts, maybe a kick??
