North Caroline Bound

We woke up to a beautiful sunrise right outside our hotel room. Normally Id gripe about such a thing so early in the morning, but something about the waves crashing right below it makes me appreciate it so much more.

Today we are heading to Charlotte, North Carolina. Leg 2 of our trek back home. We should get into Charlotte around 7 or so, and will be staying for 2 days. Good friends of ours, Jess and Adam, moved here a few years ago. Honestly it feels a lot longer than a few years. :( But they had to go where Adam could get work, like so many others. We get to meet their son, Logan, and 18 month old girl, Kendall!!! We have been really looking forward to this visit. It also worked out that Adam has Wednesday off for veterns day, so it really worked out perfectly!

It is about a 7 hour drive from St. Augustine to Charlotte. Not to bad of a drive, but a little long. Hopefully Ill finish my Michal J Fox biography, its getting so good I barely want to put it down. That should make the time fly by :) We are driving through Georgia, right outside Savanah, through South Carolina into North Carolina.

I have to admit that while eager to get home to the dogs, it saddens me that this amazing trip is coming to an end soon. But Ill get more sad on that when we are in West Virginia in a few days. For now we get to catch up with some great friends!
