Today was awesome! We met with our photographers, Wes and Liz, for our Trash The Dress photo session. They had a engagement session I believe in the morning so we met with them around 3:30. We had to spend the morning finding Grant a shirt to wear, and me shoes. Thankfully there was a little outlet shopping center about 15 minutes away. Grant was ironing his shirt for the photo shoot with the hotels iron and it spit out brown water and ruined his shirt. Now I know we are "trashing" our clothes, but some of the earlier shots will not be trashed, so a shirt needed to be bought. My wedding day shoes were painful on my feet after a few hours, and they arent the most comfortable shoes to be walking around in, so I was on the hunt for shoes. It took about 3 stores before we found these fushia pink shoes that I knew were the ones. I tried them on and felt comfort. I said these are defintely the ones! They would look great with the pink crinoline under my dress to. Grants shirt wasnt so easy. We decided to try to find him a pink shirt to match my crinoline and shoes. He was very willingly to! LOL THe problem was a pale pink is not exactly in style anymore. Its more like salmon is the color now. Finding a pink button up shirt was rather difficult. We finally decided to just pick up a pink tshirt since he more than likely wont be wearing the shirt again. Wardrobe done.

On the way back to the hotel I got a call from Wes, and we decided to meet at 3:30. We were meeting in St. Augustine by Ripleys Believe It or Not museum. Sounded easy enough. So we lounged a bit on the balcony since we had a few hours to spare. Grant ironed my dress (as well as his clothes) in the meantime. (If I would of know about these husband benefits I would of tied the knot a long time ago!:p) I should have known better with my dress and hair issues that we should of started getting ready 2 hours before we had to leave. We had to pin me all up in the dress to try to cover my bra from peeking out of the dress. Which in the end was sort of successful. And since my good not so faithful flat iron broke a few days ago, I would have to try to curl my hair. My hair always either goes really well, or bad. There is never any in between with my thick stubborn hair. I could tell after about 8 minutes it was going to be a bad curl day. Damn you indian hair! The humidty was working against me of course. I was curling it up to the point where Grant was shoo-ing me out the door. I was so not happy with it, but it was pretty windy out so Im hoping that worked to my benefit in the pictures.

As we drove up to Ripleys and we saw Wes and Liz hanging out on the grass. We exchange waves, and found a parking spot. As soon as they see us they told us how much they loved our attire. :) Grant did look a little flamboant, but was being a great sport about it. LOL I kept reminded him, real men where pink honey, dont forget that! Wes suggested we go grab a drink so we can relax a bit, which I thought was an excellent idea. St. Augustine had quite a few people in the area which worked my nerves a bit. We stopped in a little pub and had a beer, and than headed out to trash the dress!

This session was sooooo much fun. We started off with some awesome shots that werent so much trashing. I really love Wes's eye. When he would set us up, I kept thinking LOVE this! I cant wait to see the pictures. We did a few shots sitting in dirt, and me laying in the road, but that was nothing for what was coming up later. The most fun shot for me was rolling down a hill! LOL I loved it. Shortly after that we did the biggest trashing of all. PAINT! I layed down in some grass, and Grant painted away on me. Than he layed on me and smeared it all in. Than we had a silly string fight. So much fun! We had water balloons but it was windy so we decided against it. Im glad we didnt use them because we are going to do something with the dress later. Maybe frame it or use it as a matte for some of the pictures. Wes showed me one picture that was just a tease of what the others looked like. Its me leaning up against the mini cooper's front end, and the picture is off the bottom of my dress w/ crinoline showing, and my feet are facing inward. Very rock n roll. LOVE IT!

Wes and Liz are the best team to work with. Anything we suggested he worked it out. They gave us great direction through all the shots to. I really enjoyed working with them. I like the way we did the TTD, because it gave us some great couple shots, and also trashing in a way that is different than what Ive seen. I didnt want the norm (seductive), I wanted something artistic/creative, and fun! 5 weeks till we get the pictures though. A long 5 weeks!

After the shoot, we went back to the hotel and washed up. The paint was washable paint so it came off really easy. We decided to walk down the street to this place called, Sunset Grille, for dinner. I had a delicious chicken parm with cheese ravoli, and Grant enjoyed coconut shrimp. Of course we had a few blue moons to go with it. Not sick of blue moon yet :p We walked back to the hotel and shortly after wanted desert. Go figure. So we ordered key lime pie, cheesecake, and tiramsu from the hotel resaturant. It was so good that it put us in a food como and we crashed rather quickly. LOL
