BBQ Time!

Today defintely started some anxiety. So much to do, so little time! I got up early so I could find a place to go get a manicure/pedicure. I found a place just outside Fort Myers Beach that took walk ins, but I also needed to hit up Walmart while out for last minute things. That last minute list was pretty long though! We needed to get last minute decorations for the wedding as well as things for the welcome BBQ. And it all had to be done by 1pm. No pressure right? Meanwhile Grant was probably driving himself stir crazy at the house Im sure. He did go down to the ocean and dig up sand and shells for the centerpieces :)

I decided to go to Walmart first, and had a little bit of a meltdown when I couldnt find the Christmas section. The one thing that has me in tears is not finding the garden section in Walmart. Go figure. LOL After an hour and a half I felt set on everything, than realized I would have to go all the way back to the house since I had things that needed to be refridgerated, and it all of a sudden was 90 degrees out. So to the house I went, and than headed out to get my mani/pedi. I wasnt overly impressed with the outcome of my nail service, but the massages they gave during the process was very relaxing. I guess I get what I pay for though. lol On the way back to the house I stopped and picked up the BBQ food (chicken dinner) at the Publix, and got back to the house around 2;30ish and thankfully most of the guests did not arrive until after 3. My sister, brother in law, and newphew had arrived though, so I got a quick visit with them before everyone arrived.

The welcome BBQ was great. The chicken dinner we got from the Publix was delicious. Probably some of the best Chicken Ive ever had! I wish we had a Publix in Michigan! Almost everyone was in town for the BBQ, so it was a great chance for everyone to meet and check out the beautiful property. Kendra, BJ, and Lindsey helped me figure out some of the light situation in the pergola, and it turned out we needed more paper lanterns. Thankfully they hit up a Walmart on the way back to their hotel and found 6 more that we really needed! Marie and Erik stayed and helped put up lights near the house to. Everyone has been so helpful!
